Job Posting: Head Wrestling Coach – Allentown Central Catholic High School

Allentown Central Catholic High School (ACCHS) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head Wrestling Coach to lead its growing wrestling program. After a successful inaugural season, the program is set to return this winter with a robust schedule including six tournaments, possible dual meets, and participation in the District XI AA Individual Championships.

Position: Head Wrestling Coach

Location: Allentown, PA

Start Date: Fall 2025 (Pre-season planning), Winter 2025-26 Season

Reports To: Athletic Director

About the Program:

ACCHS Wrestling relaunched its program in 2024-2025 with an inaugural season with strong support from the school community, student-athletes, and parents. The program is poised for continued growth and development as it builds on its solid foundation. With dedicated student-athletes returning and an expanded competitive schedule, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced coach to shape the future of wrestling at ACCHS.

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Provide leadership and vision for the ACCHS wrestling program at the varsity level.

    •    Develop and implement effective training plans for both team and individual athlete development.

    •    Organize and lead all practices, matches, and tournaments.

    •    Promote sportsmanship, academic achievement, and personal development among student-athletes.

    •    Manage assistant coaches and collaborate with athletic staff and administration.

    •    Engage in outreach to feeder programs and youth wrestling initiatives to support long-term program growth.

    •    Ensure compliance with all school, PIAA, and District XI rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

    •    Prior wrestling coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.

    •    Strong knowledge of wrestling technique, conditioning, and strategy.

    •    Passion for mentoring student-athletes and building a values-driven team culture.

    •    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    •    Ability to pass background checks and meet all Diocesan requirements for coaching staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

    •    Experience starting or building a competitive high school program.

    •    Familiarity with District XI AA competition.

    •    Active connections within the regional wrestling community.
